Our Story
Revolutionizing trivia in St. Louis and across the country
The first time we did trivia, we hate to admit it, it was awful! It was like most typical trivia events, hard and no one was having fun. Would you believe that the high score was a 63 out of 100? We started working hard at figuring out how to engage an audience with fun, entertaining and challenging questions.
After a few years of experimenting, Nikki Wobbe invited us to St. Simon School for an event and that was the tipping point to where we started doing events all over the St. Louis metro area. In 2011, Jackie Mattingly Bridges approached us about a weekly event. This is where we really started to develop the science of Trivia. A weekly event allowed us to experiment with timing, difficulty, and creativity and now we believe we have learned how to really run an event.
In 2014 Trivia Riot was officially launched and has grown to a team of 5 engaging emcees and with rounds fit for any and every kind of environment. We are always creating new content and have worked with some of the greatest people in the St. Louis area, from Adam Wainwright and his non-profit Big Impact to Schnucks, to Bayer, to schools and sports teams from all over the area.
When COVID threw a wrench into trivia, we quickly figured out how to create the same kind of fun online and have been going strong ever since.
We celebrated our impact in the St. Louis area with an article in the Post Dispatch in 2021.
